So, If you’re reading this, then you’re on the first post of my blog. Firstly, welcome! Secondly, it’s nice meeting you; Thirdly, I will never meet you. Probably. if you didn’t find this page from one of my (many) social media pages. As I write this, I’ve uploaded my first YouTube video (that’s been associated with me, at least) onto my channel. I’m one of those people who absolutely hate being asininely self promotional, but how would you know about me if I wasn’t? a bit of a ‘catch-22’, I guess.
If I had to make some notes on it, I feel that the quality is severely lacking. I used Davinci Resolve, a free program, to do the editing; how was I supposed to know a free program would be low quality? I have access to the other, better programs, like the adobe suite, of course. But those are associated with my school .edu email, and it feels dishonest to use it for my own stuff. that being said, I’ll probably use adobe programs to edit the next video.
I wish I had a better mic, I guess. a better cam would be nice; again the quality is completely egregious to me. But I guess the quality being poor kind of plays into the theme of the video. There’s an old Martha Stewart quote about a cook apologizing for their own food that i feel would be powerful to evoke now. Shame I can’t remember it.
I don’t know how often I’ll update this blog, but I know that as I write this, I have a strong hankering to edit another video, and I fully intend on updating this after that one. mostly because the next video is literally a continuation of the one above; I cut the original clip in half, for time’s sake.
