Because everyone I ask is like, “just lock in”, and I don’t think I’m neurotypical enough for that to work. I got the most work done when I had a consistent schedule; Every night, at around 6, I would start my bedtime routine. which mostly consisted of switching off games and moving to more creative tasks. lately, my routine has been completely upset by a very small thing that wouldn’t effect someone who wasn’t me, so I haven’t gotten anything done. At least, I think that’s why. I would like to think so.

But otherwise, I had a pretty good thing going. I found this method of consolidating effort depending on what I’m doing the work for; I learned it from this YouTube video, “Why Artists can’t Finish Their Work” (TylerEdlin84, 2026). My usual schedule would be I would write and research things I wanted to make a video on, recently on the monster Congalala; from a game I’ve been playing a lot of, Monster Hunter Wilds; on it’s morphology approached from a ecological perspective from someone who isn’t an ecologist or biologist. I’ve always liked biology, but two degrees would get a little expensive right now, haha.

But I would always hiccup towards the end; I would take forever with the script and try my best to get it perfect and spend so much mental effort on it that I would just drop it. I think if i use the techniques that I’ve learned and intend on taking notes on in this video, then my workflow might move from once a year with pressure to (my admittedly very lofty goal, as of current,) once every two weeks, regularly. I think I can do it. I Think I Can is a really good song by The Pillows, a J-rock band.

Thanks for reading, Peace.

Peace.
